Thanksgiving in Oregon 2010

This past week we were up in Oregon for Thanksgiving. Burrr....was it cold. We had a pretty low key time hanging out with Trav's family. We also got to hang out with some amazing friends that we enjoy and don't get to see nearly as much as we would like. (Deck and his new bride Charnae)

One of the highlights of the trip was watching the Taylor Swift concert with Logan. She was glued to the TV. Luke also joined in on the dancing fun. He said his first word this week, "Dada". He has been saying mamama and dadadada for a while but he finally said Dada with intention. That made Travis pretty happy. That was Logan's first word as well. (what the heck???) Of course he says it ALL the time. He loves to wave bye bye and give high fives. Dancing is a new favorite too.

The Christmas tree went up today and we are planning Logan's 4th birthday. Have a told you this is my favorite time of year?!?!!!!

Luke's first trip to the beach...

A couple weekends ago we went to the coast. It was a perfect, much needed little getaway.

Luke played with sea wood scraps. Logan ran around chasing seagulls, getting wet and sandy. Trav attempted to make an awesome sand castle, only to have Logan step on it. I sat bundled up, taking pictures of it all. We loved every moment of it. I can't wait to go back.

Halloween

This year for Halloween Logan wanted to be Fancy Nancy. Logan loves to read the Fancy Nancy books and she loves all things girly. So she LOVED being Fancy Nancy!

Luke was a Giraffe. He wasn't into dressing up this year. What 9 month old baby is? But since it is an American tradition, I did what any good mother would do and forced him into a hot, itchy costume for some cute pictures.

Soccer

Lo completed her first soccer season a couple weeks ago. She loved going to practice and the games but she didn't really love actually playing soccer. Logan mostly jogged behind the crowd of kids staying a comfortable distant away and ran away from the ball if it came close to her. I think she kicked the ball one time during a game and I'm pretty sure its because it slowly rolled over her foot. She only wanted to kick the ball if no one was around. We still had fun going to the games, laughing and cheering her on!

I'm not sure if she will ever have better coaches. Our friend Jerrod was her head coach and Trav, and our friends Eric, Mike and Jeff all helped. They did a great job. They made it so fun for the kids. What great Dads! Go Thunder Monkeys!!!
