Day 48: In Process

We have started the training process with Logan and chores. This was one of her first attempts at making her bed all by herself. I will say for a 4 year old it is a hard bed to make. The quilt is heavy and she has to awkwardly climb up and down to pull the sheets and covers up. So to her, it's really hard work and a big accomplishment.

After about 10-15 minutes of working on it by herself she ran into the kitchen find me to tell me she was finished and did it all by herself. She was proud. I knew I would have to fight my tendency to want to "fix" and straighten it knowing she would be discouraged and hesitant to do it the next time. So if you come over right now, most days you will find her bed made like this.

It's perfect.

Day 47: Luke: "Give me some of that".

Luke loves food. Even if it isn't his. 

Day 46: Trav's New Ministry

Trav made me laugh so hard the other day and I thought I would share. I help teach a 4's and 5's class at church on Sundays. Trav has been helping me with the craft prep....and lately it's been a lot. He then told me that he is going to start and lead a new team at church called the Sunday School Craft Prep Ministry. He is sweet to help me. Thanks Babe.

Day 45: Naptime

Luke wasn't into taking a nap the other day. After about an hour this is what I found. Sweet boy.

Day 44: Cody the Baller

My nephews play multiple sports. They are busy little athletes. We got out to watch Cody and Brett play basketball the other day. Here are a few shots of Cody's game.

Day 43: Dance Party

My nephews spent the night last weekend. We had a dance party. Nick and Cody tied for first. Trav was in charge of the "strobe light". Here were some of their moves.

Day 41: Secret Garden

Our old dog run has become a little secret garden for little explorers. A four year olds gold mine.

Day 40: Happy 2nd Birthday Tyler

We love you little man and miss you deeply. Thank you for changing us forever.

Day 39: A New Journey

I'm doing life with a group of 14 other Mom's in a life group through our church. I'm really enjoying the group that the Lord has formed. Some are old friends and some are new. Each one of them are different and add something refreshing and unique to the group. Wednesdays are my new favorite day.

Day 38: He's Even Domestic

He's pretty great. I love him more today than yesterday and the day before....because God made him perfectly.

Day 37: Happy Birthday Mom and Dad!

My parents celebrated a big birthday this year. They are only a month apart in age. I won't tell you how old they turned because that is just plain impolite. (rhymes with pixty) So to celebrate their big one, my sisters and I cooked them dinner. Even though the dinner was served an hour and a half later than we intended, I think we did a pretty good job. We enjoyed filets with mushrooms, baked potatoes, salad, broccoli, garlic bread and great company. My Mom and Dad's best friends, JoDe and Kevin Mulligan joined us as well. They are like family to us.

Day 36: Girls Night Out!!!!

So I am about a week late with posting my daily pictures. Sooner or later I will catch up. (or not)

Last Friday my sister Lisa and I surprised Logan and my niece Hannah with a Girls Night Out! The whole night was a surprise so it was fun watching their faces throughout the night.

We went to dinner at Elbow Room and then to the Disney On Ice Show. They loved it. I'm thankful my Sis planned it for us! Can't wait for our next Girl's Night Out.

Day 33: One Of My Favorite Things #1

Although I wish I had a ton of money like Oprah to give everyone one of these I don't. But I thought I would share anyways. This is probably one of my favorite things of all time. If you are a one or two cup of coffee drinker a day....it's perfect. Sometimes I even say good morning to it out loud.

Day 32: Buddies

 They are starting to play together and it makes my heart smile. I'm glad they have each other. 

Day 31: Luke's Mess

As I finished straightening up the playroom after hurricane Luke had visited it,  I walked into him doing this. Tidy is not a word to describe my house right now. It is what it is and I love it.
