Kids are a little sick this morning so we had church from home.

We enjoyed this sermon on success, marriage and divorce and how God view them. If you have time this week...it's worth your time. (the second half is the best part)

This is from Trav's Mom. She left this for Logan to find before she headed back to Oregon after her last visit. So precious. Love their relationship.

Day 60: Painful to Watch...

My little man has been getting lots of test done lately. Doctors think he has something wrong with his immune system. Lots of tests and trips to here have been what he have been up to. Looks like him and his big sis have lots in common including bad genes. :) Oh joy!

The other day it was a particularly draining as it took 45 minutes, three blown out veins and one broken hearted Mom that couldn't rescue her tearful baby as he was getting blood drawn. Awful. But I know it is not even close to as bad as some things other mothers have to watch their sick kids go through. I am so thankful for that.

This is a picture of little man on our way home. Exhausted. I was too. And very tearful.

Day 59: It's a boy!

Our dear friends Blake and Cherie welcomed a new little miracle in their world. They did not find out what they were having when they were pregnant and were pretty convinced they were having a girl! Well he is a boy and his name is Austin! He is prefect!

It was so exciting to be there for the big announcement. (Blake came into the waiting room in a blue shirt) To watch them walk down the isle to now years later welcoming their second child into this world, its been such a blessing to walk alongside them for so many years. They are dear to us.

Here are some very fresh pictures of little Austin. I think he was an hour old. :) Precious isn't he? And how darn cute does she look? She just had a baby...hard to believe...I know!

Day 58: So Proud

My little man is learning to walk. Logan didn't walk until 14 months and Travis 18 months. (yes you read that correct) So he is right on the DeManby track. He still doesn't bend his knees but he is having so much fun doing it. And we are having so much fun watching. Can you see it in his face? Look how proud he is?  Love this.

Day 56: My Talented Sweet Friend

My friend Cori is very talented. In addition to taking fabulous pictures, she teaches these workshops on how to use your camera better. She is wonderful. If you are interested in learning about your camera and how to shoot pictures on manual settings I totally recommend it. Well worth it.

Here are some pics from hanging out with her and attempting to absorbs as much as possible about photography. I love taking pictures. It energizes me. I hope to some day be as good as her. :) I can dream right?

Day 55: Our Night Stands

I couldn't help but look at our night stands the other night and smile. I think it is an accurate picture of us right now.

Mine: Busy and a little over committed. 

Trav's: Simple and steady. 

Can you see why the Lord knew I needed him? Thankful. 

Day 54: Little Stinker

You don't really have to teach kids disobedience. They are born little sinners.

Our fire place is considered off limits in our house. Its our "no, no" spot. Its a wonderful tool for us in training our little babies in obedience. Every time they touch the fireplace they get a flick and we say "no no". (I know...mean Mom)

At least every other day, Luke will crawl over to the fireplace and make sure it is still a "no, no". He will touch it and look at us to see what we do. Hilarious. The other day I caught it on camera. It cracks me up so much because now once he sees us coming he darts away as quickly as he can. As if we can't catch him.

Don't Panic

Why is it when someone says not to panic something within you automatically does? 


My heart is heavy tonight with concern. I am fighting every ounce of my being to not panic. I keep telling myself....don't panic. don't panic. 


I am choosing to take my thoughts captive and to trust in the only Sovereign God who knows and loves me deeply, and is in control of all things. 


My heart will rest in this scripture alone. Thankful for its truth. 


Don't panic.


Psalm 18 30-36
As for God, his way is perfect: The LORD’s word is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in him. For who is God besides the LORD? And who is the Rock except our God? It is God who arms me with strength and keeps my way secure. He makes my feet like the feet of a deer; he causes me to stand on the heights. He trains my hands for battle; my arms can bend a bow of bronze. You make your saving help my shield, and your right hand sustains me; your help has made me great. You provide a broad path for my feet, so that my ankles do not give way.



Wanting His will be done for my life....not mine.

Day 53: Bugging Daddy

In November Trav switch jobs. He is still in medical devise sales and still works for Johnson & Johnson, but he now works for ASP instead of DePuy. The hours are much better and we are sooooo thankful to be out of the trauma world. We do not miss Trav being on call 24/7. Although we are so excited for this new job and season, Trav does miss his old coworkers. They were the highlight of DePuy.

Well since the change, Trav's office is at home, so at least a few days a week, he works from home. We often bug him while he is trying to work. (I think he likes it) We love having him so close.

Day 52: My Favorite Kind of Day...

Every once in a while (at least once a week) we just need a lazy day. In pj's until noon, not much on the agenda but unrushed, fun and family time. This was one of those days. Perfection.

Day 51: Snow Day!

A few weeks ago we headed up to Shaver for a snow day. It was a blizzard (not really), but we had a ton of fun. Luke and I spent most of the day in the warm, dry car. Can't wait to go back.

Day 50: My Barefoot Baby

Nearly everyday I lose the battle with Luke and him wearing shoes. As much I repeatedly put his shoes and socks back on him, they are back off within 5 minutes. So most days, if you see us around town, yep...we are the ones in the dead of winter barefoot.

This picture is not great but hopefully you can make out what he is doing. I was driving and trying to capture him in action and to show you I actually do put shoes on him. I am pretty sure taking pictures while  driving is up there with texting while driving. I won't do it again. :)
