Do you know your value???

Dear Precious One,

I see you hurting. You may not even know why yet, but I feel like I need to share that I understand. For a long time I really struggled with my value. And if I am honest, on a bad day I still do. My life has never been bad at all, but I felt worthless. On the outside I had wonderful friends, people around me that loved me, and I've never wanted for much. But the inside of me told a different story. I was miserable. I stuffed. I had a huge hole in my heart that I attempted to stuff material things, approval from others, relationships, status, achievement, and even substances into it, in an attempt to numb or make that emptiness go away. Nothing worked. At the end of the day, I still hated myself and felt worthless.

Just another reason I am so thankful for a patient and loving God who loves me right where I am.

Do you know your value?

If I handed you a $100 bill would you want it? Does it have value to you? What if I crumbled it up and stomped on it? Would you still want it? Yes, it might look different but it still has the same value.

Sometimes when we mess up we forget our value. No matter how many time we fall away from God, we still have the same worth to Him. We cannot ADD or TAKE any of the value that the Lord Himself has given us. Jesus died once and for all.... because He knew we would fall short...over and over again. May you never question your value no matter how dark life might seem at times. Return home.

Here is a song that my heart wishes I would have heard in my darkest of moments...

There's a girl in the corner
With tear stains on her eyes
From the places she's wandered
And the shame she can't hide

She says, "How did I get here?
I'm not who I once was.
And I'm crippled by the fear
That I've fallen too far to love"

But don't you know who you are,
What's been done for you?
Yeah don't you know who you are?

You are more than the choices that you've made,
You are more than the sum of your past mistakes,
You are more than the problems you create,
You've been remade.

Well she tries to believe it
That she's been given new life
But she can't shake the feeling
That it's not true tonight

She knows all the answers
And she's rehearsed all the lines
And so she'll try to do better
But then she's too weak to try

But don't you know who you are?

You are more than the choices that you've made,
You are more than the sum of your past mistakes,
You are more than the problems you create,
You've been remade.

You are more than the choices that you've made,
You are more than the sum of your past mistakes,
You are more than the problems you create,
You've been remade.

'Cause this is not about what you've done,
But what's been done for you.
This is not about where you've been,
But where your brokenness brings you to

This is not about what you feel,
But what He felt to forgive you,
And what He felt to make you loved.

You are more than the choices that you've made,
You are more than the sum of your past mistakes,
You are more than the problems you create,
You've been remade.

You are more than the choices that you've made,
You are more than the sum of your past mistakes,
You are more than the problems you create,
You've been remade.

You've been remade
You've been remade.
You've been remade.
You've been remade.
