So here it is. Meet my new friend Juice Plus.
Why we use it.
We are busy, and I want my family to have the best nutrition possible. I want them to be healthy and get what they need in their body everyday. Especially on the days that we have birthday or school parties or Taco Bell for dinner. I mean don't get me wrong, those crunchy tacos with no lettuce that Logan likes is crammed with antioxidants and brain fueling nutrition.
We actually eat a lot of fruits and vegetable in our house. At least one of each at most meals. But the variety is what we struggle to get. And there is no way we are getting the 7-13 servings (as suggested by the USDA) a day in each of us. Not.Even.Close.
So here is the 411 on Juice Plus.

What's in Juice Plus?
Juice Plus is made up of 17 fruits, vegetables and grains: Juice Plus contains a wide variety of nutritionally dense fruits and vegetables reduced to juice powder concentrate using a proprietary process. Fruits and vegetables contain many phytonutrients, from such familiar vitamins as vitamin C and beta-carotene, to less widely known antioxidant compounds, including polyphenols and flavonoids. It also includes the carotenoids, beta-cryptoxanthin, and lycopene. Is Juice Plus a Vitamin?
No. It actually has a nutritional label and not a supplement label. That means its classified as food. Because it is. Since it's made up of fruits and vegetables, Juice Plus+ contains a much wider variety of naturally occurring vitamins - along with other antioxidants and phytonutrients - than traditional vitamin supplements.
Our Story and Juice Plus...
Trav does not like vegetables. In fact, he will order his cheeseburger and ask the waitress to hold the veggies. :) Since Trav has been on Juice Plus, he now actually enjoys more vegetables and notices when a meal doesn't include one. WIN!
My Luke spent most of last year sick. He does have a minor immune system disorder so we at least knew why he was sick all the time. But since being on Juice Plus (6 months) it's made a HUGE difference. He has been sick twice and both colds have lasted 3 or 4 days. That is dramatically different from our pre-Juice Plus days. For that I will forever be a fan.
I'm a visual learner. Here's a short informative video on Juice Plus.
